Who can resist crispy, golden breaded fish with plenty of chips? This is a super way to use up slightly stale bread – simply whizz it up into breadcrumbs and coat your fish to create a classic meal in minutes. Crispy

Ingredients

  • 4 fish fillets
  • 2 tbsp plain flour, seasoned
  • 2 free range eggs, beaten
  • 4 slices white bread, crumbed
  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 tbsp Ballymaloe MayoLish

Dietary Suitability

Method

  1. Place flour in a shallow bowl, breadcrumbs in a second bowl and egg in a third bowl.
  2. Dip the fish fillets first in the flour, then dunk into the egg and gently toss in the breadcrumbs ensuring the entire fillet is nicely coated
  3. Fry the fish in a hot pan until breadcrumbs turn golden brown and fish is cooked through.
  4. Serve with Ballymaloe MayoLish and a side salad or chips.
