Ballymaloe Foods 2022 Charity Partnership with ALONE

ALONE Blog Post

Throughout the year, we have donated a percentage of retail sales from events such as, ‘Taste of Dublin’ and ‘The Ballymaloe Craft Fair’- of which both 10% and 20% of total revenue was donated respectively. On a local level, we organised a social event in Carrigtwohill Community Hall during the summer and welcomed the community with music, delicious Ballymaloe Food and goodie bags.

Our main activity in conjunction with our partnership, was the printing of special Alone jars of relish. In total, we distributed 40,000 jars to retailers nationwide- with a donation of 10cent from every jar sold going directly to our charity partner.

CEO of Alone, Seán Moynihan, has this to say about our partnership this year,

“We are delighted to be part of this partnership with Ballymaloe Foods. It is great for people to have another way to give to ALONE this winter and we appreciate any and all contributions to our services as we seek to help older people stay safe and warm this winter. We are looking for people to respond to our call to action to help us help older people who use our services. We do not want anyone to feel alone or concerned about the cold this Christmas and you can be the difference. Since our partnership began Ballymaloe Foods has been a wonderful partner who has helped us provide days out to older people and raise vital funds. ”
