Dietary Suitability
Method
- Heat a frying pan or grill over a medium-high heat. Season the patties with salt and pepper. Fry or grill for around 4–5 minutes each side, or until cooked to your liking. If you're using cheese, pop it on in the last minute so it melts slightly.
- Lightly toast the cut sides of the burger buns in a dry pan or under the grill — it adds a lovely crunch.
- Start with the base of the bun and spread over a generous spoonful of Ballymaloe Sweet & Spicy Beetroot Slaw.
- Add the lettuce, then place the hot burger on top.
- Add the red onion slices and a few crispy onions if you're using them.
- Top with the lid of the bun and secure with a cocktail stick and gherkin for good measure.
- Serve immediately with chips or a green salad, a side of extra slaw, and maybe even a cold drink if the mood suits.
