Staff Day Out!

Staff Team Building Day at Ballymaloe House

Our team is ever growing at Ballymaloe Foods. With this expansion, we decided it was time for a team building day to get old and new staff members from all areas of the business working together. We closed the factory and made our way down to Ballymaloe House for the day.

The day began with beautiful sunshine and a traditional Ballymaloe breakfast served in the Grainstore. We enjoyed a breakfast buffet of muesli, porridge, fresh fruit, orange juice and natural yoghurt – It was truly delish! Maxine delivered a presentation after breakfast bringing the team through how the business is performing. New team members were introduced and we awarded our Recycling Ambassador Stephen for his dedication and enthusiasm in reducing our waste and ensuring that everything that can be recycled is recycled.

We headed to the Big Shed where team building games were set up such as Jenga, Pitch & Putt, Soccer, Don’t Buzz the Wire, Plank Walk and much more. This raised everyone’s morale and built team spirit. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed having some fun under the summer sun, and it even brought out the competitive side of some of us!

The afternoon was wrapped up with a tasty BBQ prepared by the kitchen at Ballymaloe House. Everyone was starving after our busy afternoon, so we ate and relaxed in the sunshine. A truly wonderful day was had by all and we most enjoyed a break from all the hard work. A very big thank you to Ballymaloe House and Ballymaloe Grainstore for hosting and feeding us!

Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to our longstanding team member, Darren, as it was his last day at Ballymaloe Foods. In the evening we went on a boat and sailed around Cork Harbor and went for a meal in the Black Bird in Ballycotton to celebrate Darren’s three years with Ballymaloe Foods. We wish you all the best in Canada Darren and we promise will try to keep the office tidy!
